Hey all, I was hoping to get a little help in upgrading my system:
Current system: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/cEZv
I am looking for an intel based system, if at all possible. I know what I have right now is probably pretty decent, but hey it's fun to upgrade
1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Mainly gaming, and some dev work.
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
300-400 with tax and shipping
3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
United States, Seattle, WA
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
- CPU, looking for intel if it fits the budget
- probably ram (not sure if I can use my old ram) have G.SKILL DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL
- new motherboard
- possibly an SSD if that can fit in the budget
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
See above for the PSU, I will be reusing most components except for Motherboard and CPU (and maybe ram)
6) Will you be overclocking?
- No, it's not really something I feel comfortable with at the moment.
7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
1920x1080, 23"
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
Maybe in a couple weeks.
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
- Onboard video might be nice for power saving, and switching if that's possible.
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
Yes, 64bit Windows 7.
