Gaming PC rig.
I'm looking to get the best deals as there's a new sale every week. But out of curiosity, which computer hardware should I start on first? Is it the mobo? The case? Wish I could just buy everything all at once, but I want to get my best bang for a buck.
This is my first build and I'm looking to play BF3 and Skyrim. Sadly they haven't released any official specs yet but the more I read on possible builds from other users, I get the general idea of what I want. I'm looking to go through the AMD route on the mobo... people are mentioning the GTX 460 (which tigerdirect has a great deal on it this week) and the AMD phenom x4 black edition for medium-high settings for BF3. MAYBE the x6. Not looking to OC'ing it.
If its the mobo, which ones could you recommend or lookout for that is compatible with the GPU and CPU above? Preferably a standard ATX board. Something that is also somewhat future-proof and upgradable to the GTX 560-580 line. If you guys can recommend an ATX mid tower to go with it that'd be nice too. Max spending on the mobo is $150-$180 without tax/shipping. A nice $50 (without tax and shipping) case would do, not looking for anything fancy for my first build.
I'm also willing to hear ideas for an Intel mobo path but with an i5 cpu.
