i need help finding a cheap case. what do you think? this is the setup thats going in it.

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W
Board: GIGABYTE GA-MA790X-UD4P AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 790X ATX (bought off tdub 92 shipped)
Video: 2x SAPPHIRE 100283-2L Radeon HD 5770 1GB
PSU: CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX 650W
Memory: G.SKILL PI Black 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) F2-6400CL4D-4GBPI-B (bought off HaxEJxuK New 80 shipped)

I did have an antec 900 but i sold it for certain reasons. i want something else. i odnt care about windows or anything fancy just want Cheap
 
I have a vintage (Rev 1.0) Alienware giant plastic full steel case you can have for cheap.

It's quite the case, and in pristene shape.

Will easily hold everything you listed. Shipping will probably be the biggest drawback.:eek:

If that doesn't trip your fancy..........look on Xoxide.com they carry a bunch of cheap aluminum cases. I picked up a really gaudy lime green thing for 35 dollars a while back.
 
just get the cheapest one you can find that isnt fully made out of plastic lol. iv had a few which are just sheet alu and have no actual structure/supports..really flimsy.
 
Antec 300. Others will concur.

It's a very well thought out design and I think the build quality is extremely decent for the price.

I'm a Lian Li guy myself, I built a system last summer using the Antec 300 and was very impressed. It's got everything: tons of cooling options, hard drive space, thumb screws, easy cable routing, easy panel and fan removal, and the steel mesh over the bay covers is a really nice touch. Cheap case but nothing cheap about it.

That Gigabyte is a sweet deal but the 80mm in the back would be a deal breaker for me...noise. Also, no intake fans in the front to cool hard drives. Data is extremely important and properly cooled drives have never failed in any of my rigs. Ones with no cooling have died.

Antec 300, best for the money. I believe it still has free shipping too. Should be like $55
 
yeah i only have 48 in my paypal and there is no free shipping on the antec 300. maybe i can post up on the forums and see if anyone has one used.
 
With that many cards in that system, I'd go for a case with more room to work with. Something like the Coolermaster RC-590 case will do. Yes if you want to do a CF setup, you're gonna have to get the extra cash for a case that can cool and fit them well.

I say it's complete garbage considering the nice hardware you have.

Would not work well. As Nighted said: It's garbage for the following reasons:
- Cramped workspace
- Single rear 80mm fan (Minimum should be 120mm fan) which means crappy cooling

Ah I see, that sucks the big one :( Oh well. Still, lowest I would ever go in the case ranks would be the antec 300, anything under it is just well, crap.

Edit: If you don't mind the looks, the Antec 200 is pretty cheap right now.

Yeah, you missed antec 300 for $25 and antec mini p180 for $45 black friday, as well as the $35 RC-690 and $25 CM elite. I would wait, those deals actually come up pretty often.
 
thanks. the guy didnt like the antec 900 i sold him so i bought it back off him. he ended up getting a COOLER MASTER HAF 922. I bought a bigger desk today also a corner wooden desk since the last desk i had my daughter had easy access to the tower. the new desk she doesnt and will have to climb.
 
900 is a solid case, what didnt you like about it? I know it doesn't have great cable or dust management. Great airflow though :eek:
 
my daughter while the pc was running took a cup that hold about 4 cups of water and played a little cool water/fan trick with the top 120mm fan. fried just about everything. im not mad at all because NOW im building a pc way better then what i had. i guess im just bored of the antec 900
 
i was wondering what do you think bout the COOLER MASTER Storm Scout SGC-2000-KKN1-GP Black Steel
 
I built my grandmom a pc in the antec 300, not bad, but if it were me, I'd wait for at least a cm 922, I see that quit often for 100 dollars delivered.
