Looking for larger hard drive

I have a 160GB Western Digital Hard drive and a 40GB Maxtor hard drive. I want to replace my 40GB with at least a 300GB one but I am not sure what hard drives are good. First of all, what sort of hard drive is best for me? SATA? IDE? I am looking for a large and cheap hard drive, can anyone recommend me any? I want it for storage and nothing else as my 160GB hard drive has Windows on it.

I will be buying off scan.co.uk or overclockers.co.uk so please try and recommend me a hard drive that is on either of these 2 websites.

I would go sata if you have it on your motherboard. If not there is nothing wrong with ide.

As for which drive, look at the buyer's guide at the top of the forum.

I got the 250GB SATAII WD 16mb cache ..blah blah blah one, and it's fantastic, I don't see how the 320 would be any different.
