Looking to Replace a 2 year old failing PSU: Diablotek DA Series PSDA600 600W ATX12V v2. I don't want to pay too much if don't have to, but I want something that is reliable and will last a long time under normal use.

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?

I'm surprised your system isn't dead. That Diablotek was really shitty.

At $80 for a high quality Seasonic and MODULAR PSU, that's probably one of the best PSU deals out now. So I highly highly recommend that should be your first choice.

But there is the non-modular Corsair TX650:
$90 - Corsair 650TX V2 650W PSU

The Rosewill Capstone-550-M 550W:

If you have to save every penny possible at the expense of bang for the buck value, the Corsair CX600 is currently on sale for $58:
$50 - Corsair CX600 600W PSU

But the three other PSUs I recommended are of higher quality than the Corsair CX series.

The Rosewill Capstone series are actually pretty good power supplies. Rosewill still has some crap PSUs but they do have good PSUs among the crap. However I generally don't recommend Rosewill because I'm not sure about their customer support.
 
The problem with that PSU is it's cost. $60 for a 430W PSU is crazy. OP should just get the 600W Corsair CX600 instead for $10 cheaper.
 
$60 for a reliable, high quality, highly efficient PSU is a decent deal. If the wattage fits the system, price per watt is irrelevant. Buying on wattage is what leads people to shitty PSU's in the first place.

You are right, but the PSU that Danny quoted is a reliable unit. :rolleyes:
 
Yep, the G550 is $20 more, for higher efficiency rating and more headroom, but if he can't or isn't going to use it, the 430W would be a better fit. The CX is cheaper, but you take a big hit in quality and reliability vs the 430W S12II just to save $10.

Just my $.02 though. No eyerolling needed.
 
Thanks everyone for the feed back. It gives me more to think about, cause i don't want to rush like i did 2 years ago and picked up a diablotek without any help at the time. Even tho it was in my barebone kit purchase originally.

Is this a reliable power supply. i noticed he said a 430w psu. i see this one around 20 on Newegg for a 72 hour sale, after rebate. still waiting on more sales for weekend to make a choice, but is this a reliable one. cause i could go higher if i need to but was looking for a quick replacement that would last.

It's a good PSU but considering the kind of setup you have, I highly recommend spending the extra cash for a higher quality PSU. Generally, the more you spend, the higher the chance of the PSU surviving.

The CX (or Builder Series) seems to be decent, but it is Corsair's budget line - to keep costs down, they cut corners where they have to.

The CX430 is the absolute lowest I would go for any build (quality wise, not wattage). Given the rest of your system and initial budget of $100, I'd definitely step it up to a Seasonic if you can.
 
Corsair 650TX V2 650W PSU

The V2 has a manufacture number of CMPSU-650TXV2, right. While the TX650 is just CP-9020038-NA. looking on the corsair site.

Is the V2 PSU better than the none V2?

Yea thats what i thought. Ordered the V2 from new egg but had the no V2 manufacture number on box. So talked with their live chat support and got it RMA. I hope when i get the RMA back it will be the V2.

The first box had no V2 on box and the no V2 manufacture number.

On corsair site the box has a bunch of V2 on box.

Is there ways to tell if its a V2 besides the box having V2 on it?

I was wondering, so that if i do get right one next time.

I should know it is the V2..

Any tips would be helpful.

Actually, the v2 is no longer in production. The CP-9020038-NA is now the part number designation for the current revision of the TX650 intended for distribution in North America. Thus, what you received was what I consider the "v3" (although Corsair doesn't market or designate it as such). Both the original TX650 and the v2 have now been discontinued.

As for the CP-9020038-NA, it is based on a newer CWT platform - the PUQ-B.
 
So is that new platform any good quality? Mainly was getting cause i read the V2 was made with help by seasonic before. Is the v3 reliable?
 
eVGA PSUs tend to be overpriced for the quality you're getting.

AFAIK, no one has done any proper reviews of the NEX750B. There was a proper review of the NEX750G which showed that while it was a decent PSU, it was just overpriced for the kind of performance and quality you're getting:

So that doesn't bode well for the NEX750B: If the NEX750G's performance was just "OK", then NEX750B is probably going to be worse.
