I have a Seagate ST-225 stashed somewhere which was powered on (continuously) for over 20 years running some orphanware that only ran on an XT.
 
I've got a 486 that still works perfectly. Total up-time would most likely be in excess of that because it was used in a business setting for about 15 years and they never shut their computers down. They definitely don't make them like they used to.

It also really depends on how much time your computer spends accessing the disc, not just powered up to cause the disc to fail.
