For whatever type of gaming you do, which brand do you like/use?

For me its Logitech, the MX1000

I went from a MS Intelli Mouse Opti to a MX510 to what I use now...a MX518.

I was afraid I wouldn't like the feel of the Logitechs, but I do and I won't go back....maybe.

Logitech z-5500's , G5, G15, Logitech Microphone, Duo MX...do you see the trend going on here at my home? ;)

Micrsoft, purely based on their assymetrical shapes. I only like the Logitech mx1000 for shape. The mx518 seems like I have to make my hand conform to it, it's uncomfortable in my opinion, that's not to say that it's built badly though, they're quality.

Logitech mx518 here for the mouse.

Keyboard is a compaq rebranded logitech, although I have no preference when it comes to keyboards because I replace them once or twice a year.

I think that's what you meant?

Razer ftw easily. The very best mice for precision in shooters & overall performance as many review & comparison sites have stated. Logitech is a good mouse, but its not better than Razer when it comes to shooters. I can say that cus I've owned the last few logitech gaming mice as well =). Currently have the copperhead.

I agree. I have the Copperhead and I like it much better than my old MX518. The buttons have much faster response, the shape doesn't leave your hand feel uncomfotable, the updating of the firmware will allow you to keep your mouse longer since most of them are performance enhancements and they're very responsive. You can tell from the build quality and the features that this was molded after gamers for gamers. I don't think I'm going to buy anything but a Razer mouse now if they continue to be this good. The Copperhead on the S&S is awesome.

I was highly surprised by getting a Razer Copperhead for Christmas. Was using a trackball explorer- what a difference! Hard getting used to this style mouse...but I'll be used to it soon

I play mostly FPSes, but some RTSes as well. I use a Logitech Mediaplay, previously the MX900 but I like the Mediaplay better. I personally haven't tried any Razer mice before, but I love Logitech products, and I don't feel it's worth it to buy a gaming-dedicated mouse when Logitech mice are probably better for productivity tasks, of which I do a lot as well.

I have tried them all, but keep coming back to logitech... I wanted to like the razer (diamondback), but it didn't feel right in my hand... it tracked well and looked awesome... sometimes when I would boot up the mouse would be deactivated though.. like every 6th time or so... maybe just was my particular mouse, anyways... the G5 is the SHIZ! serious as a heart attack... I love it. :)

I got a diamondback for christmas and its great with Q4 and FEAR. Looks great, too.

I'm in love with the copperhead i got for christmas. have used a friends g7, seems to be as sensitive, but the shape just seems better to me on the copperhead. nothing wrong with the g5/g7 mice. as a general brand logitech is very good. impressed with the razor so far.

I have a Razer Copperhead on a fUnc 1030 and its awesome.

Previously, I had an MX510 and it was good too, but I needed a change. I was gonna get either the G7 or the Razer and I chose the Razer over the Logitech for a couple reasons.

1. The Logitech only has 1 side button, and I like to use those side buttons. So, having more would be a plus.

2. I was starting to get tired of the Logitech's shape. Theres nothing really wrong with it, but I felt like my hand needed a change.

These are mostly personal preferences. The two mice are mostly the same performance-wise I think. Aside from the fact that the G7 is wireless and the Copperhead is wired.

I love the Copperhead, fits like a glove in my hand :) I had a G5 before I got the Copperhead and I just didn't like the big and bulky shape. In shooters there are the quick and the dead, and Razer is quick :D .

Razer Copperhead!

I am right handed, but use my mouse with my left hand. Symmetrical mice make it very easy to do that.

FWIW, I use a Logitech V270 Bluetooth mouse for my laptop. It may be small, but it's symmetrical and has a 1000DPI resolution so I can still play HL2 and BF2 on my lappy.

THe Razer diamondback rules. But the side buttons area bitch to use. But i don't use them that much anyway so it doesn't really matter.

FYI the G5 and the newer razer have the SAME exact laser unit for precision, etc. So uhh how is it better? Unless you had a Fiat (1st gen optical that skipped ALOT) and now have a Porsche (Razer) and comparing!? :p

PS: I have a G5 and its damn precise holy crap!

MX518 is my back up
MX1000 ForTheW!n

The MX518 sold me on logitech!

I would live a G5 but I have no reason to get one.
The MX1000 is so AWESOME!

Well logitech is going to win the poll because its industry standard and thats a given. But the Razer is for the few and elite that take their games seriously and to the next level.

While you're using your Logitech and calling bullshit because you had a bead on someone and your headshot missed or you're getting skips of movement. And then you switch to a copperhead mouse and you start hitting everything you point your mouse at and have some loser on the other end call you a hacker.

You will slap yourself for not switching over to the darkside sooner.

That is all.

I love my MS optical, I have used them since my P2 400mhz 64 meg pc100 days :D

I just wish it had like 800 dpi instead of 400.

I only use the side buttons on the right side. Either way, I love my Diamondback. For my non-gaming PC I use a Logitech trackball though. Trackballs pwn for everything, but gaming.

I already stated that I use a MX518 for my mouse....but if you wanna know what keyboard I use....Microsoft Natural Elite....FOREVER! :D

I've got an MX500 for my desktop and an MX518 for my laptop.

I kind of want to give one of the Razor mice a try, I might buy one and swap it with my desktops MX500, see if I like it better.

As for Microsofts mice... haven't been a fan in years. All their new mice have sucky scroll wheels that are too fast, which is no good for gaming.

PS - In case anyone cares, I use an X-Ray Thunder 8 mouse pad and love it. Double sided, one sides smooth, one side is rough. Combined with a good mouse it makes for very accurate precision. :)

Same here but I have Logitech Z-640s and the Logitech Elite keyboard. Well I guess I should say I don't use the Z-640s for gaming, I should reserve that position for my Sennheiser HD-280s (sorry Logitech, but these headphones>your speakers).

Never owned any razer mice, they are too expensive and flashy for me.

Between logitech and M$ I prefer logitech

maybe it will win because more people prefer using it. industry standard what a rubbish. i use MX518 and own people in BF2 everytime and i bet i owned the few and elite players with razer plenty of times.

G5 or G7. The MX518 will do in a pinch if you are on a budget.

No. I know they do make symmetrical mouses, but I own the intellimouse 3, which is definately not equal on both sides. :)
