Where did you hear about it? I see nothing on Logitech's website. Anything special about it?

Heres a pic I found on google.

The following was translated from French:

Here the MX1000, the mouse without wire pushed to the extreme by Logitech!

The design of this MX1000 was completely re-examined and is successful rather well. In the ray innovations, one can note optical capacities 20 times higher than those of optical mice of entry of range, batteries with the Lithium-ion, a loadmeter on 4 levels directly integrated on front face of the mouse, and a new multidirectional serrated roller.

This optical mouse and without wire is accompanied by its base of refill, of CD containing the pilots necessary, of a guide of installation, and an adapter USB/PS2.

Looks sorta like the new MS mice...

Edit: I may be wrong, but a MX510 is 5.8 mp. If its 20x that, then is it 116 mp?

This mouse is really cool!
The batt indicator looks great!

PS:so what about Icemat black? Does it plays like it costs?

Black Icemat?
Be sure to have some teflon tape handy. Mice without it make quite an annoying noise. Its a great pad though.

I've heard it makes crazy sounds during work.
Are they REALLY so dahm annoying or you can easily beat it with a little speakers volume boost %)

upd: I haven't saw saturnine2's reply. If the teflon is the solution than no problem left 8)

What about radio interface? Is it bluetooth like in MX900 or it's similar to MX700?

Yeah, it makes a high pitch scraping noise. It isnt really that loud, its just annoying. With speakers/headphones you probably wont hear a thing. Teflon tape quiets it and allows the mouse to move even more smoothly, plus its cheap. Grab some if you can.

Nice mouse but Ill wait for the corded version...I simply hate cordless mice :(

I don't think that cordless version will ever be since the wireless introduced first... But who knows...

Where can I get it? (and the teflon tapes too)
Go here and search for Icemat. Both the pad and the teflon tape will show up, but the pad is sold out. Both are currently in stock at FrozenCPU

so when is the release date for this? ive read somewhere that Aug.21st will be the release date, but dont quote me on that :p.

Sweet looking mouse. I wonder if they will update the wireless keyboard too.

I hope they make a wireless duo. Id hate to have 2 base stations just so I could use my old keyboard.

Hm... Funky. I like it. I'm so used to uberlight mice though... and I don't feel like adapting to heavier (batteries) wireless mice. I'll wait for the wired version if it ever comes out. Maybe when that comes out the MX510 will drop. *excited* :D

I'd love to get this in bluetooth; since both of my laptops have bluetooth.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to it...I'll be getting it ASAP. I'll be replacing my MX Duo with that mouse, and this keyboard.

Ditto. MX510 > any cordless mouse made.

And the IceMat is used to keep your mouse at subzero temps for high performance gaming. :D Especially good for overclocked mice.

Because it is heavier than corded mice and because I have to keep yelling at my parents to put the damn thing in the charging cradle.

I have both the Mx700 and the Mx500... I like the 500 MUCH better. It just feels so much better to use. The ol' Mx700 is collecting dust in the closet!

Wonder how heave this thing is. It looks cool though...

i think ill stay with my MX900, the mx1000 looks uggy, i like the sleek look of my mx900 :D

I dunno if Ill like the feel of the 1000. It looks like an MS or IBM mouse. Who knows. I didnt like the MX at first, stayed with Dual optical for a while. Now Im running an MX500, 510 and a 700 hehehe (screw the 900, heard of too many lag issues)
