I'm trying to evaluate how much liquid I need for my system (all AC kit) and I was wondering if anyone had some ruff numbers. How much liquid does a WC setup need?? Res, rad, pump, cpu and gpu would represent ??? of liquid. With some numbers I could see I much of the other liquids I would need (glow + AC fluid).

Safe to using AC Fluid + Glowmotion in distilled water?

Thanks!

No real way to calculate with the info provided... the volume taken up by the blocks will the ounces (at best), the same for the pump, I think it would be safe to say that the res would not have more than about 12 ounces. The volume of the radiator will vary depending on if it's a single, double, tripple. The real question is how much hose are you using? If you're mounting the radiator externally on top of a CM Stacker your overall volume of liquid required is going to be a whole lot different than if you're going to try to figure out a way to cram the entire thing internally into a LanBoy.

You're best bet is just buy the largest quantity of whatever additive you're looking to use (eventually you're going to have to flush the system, refill, top off, etc) and get a gallon of distilled water (I've never seen it in anything smaller)... that should just about get you up and running.

note to bellacroix : ounces is not a measure of volume, ounce = weight, FLUID ounce = volume

well, doesn't say much for an aqua computer (I think thast what an ac kit means), but my 1/2" setup with bayres takes like, 1/4 gallon? sounds like alot to me... maybe 1/6 of a gallon?

I'm using a double rad (evo240) and cramming everything (hopefully :) ) in a Lian-Li V1000 case.

I guess I was just wondering what the amount of different liquid would represend ... tea spoon of AC fluid + a tea spoon of glow ... this sort of thing.

Thanks.

well, I premixed everything which worked out ok. Just mix it all with a gallon on distilled water, at the appropriate ratio, then fill your system. Easier than mesuring our how much water you will need, then adding the appropriate amounts of other things. I assume this is what your trying to accomplish?
