Aside from more points, is the Smp for linux any more stable than the windows client?
I need to fire my smp clients back up and I need a stable setup.

Well, I have two Linux SMP clients on SuSE 10.2 that have never failed me ever. So, I believe they may be stable.:p Never used the Windows client yet.

I tried for about a week with the Windows SMP client for shits and giggles and didn't care for it. It did not seem as stable especially when you needed to shut down. I did have it setup as a service (and it was done properly) but I didn't care much for it.

The Linux SMP client I just set and forget. The only thing I have to worry about is if a WU craps out. That's only happened a couple of times but that had to do with the WU itself. I've been running the Linux SMP client for at least six months at this point and I mentioned the only problems I've had with it.

Then again, I switched over to Linux as my main OS a while back. I still boot into Windows every couple of weeks for some reason or another, but that's about it.
