Linux gaming is finally viable

So?

There are holes (in all OSes) and you don't know which bad actors might have found them before publishing them with the patch.
However the reality is that when your OS is open source and the code is viewed by many eyes globally, the number of vulnerabilities found increases exponentially, meaning a larger number of vulnerabilities are patched before they become a problem.

The reality is: Linux is simply vastly more secure than Windows.

Whatever distro you pick, this is clearly the best desktop environment to use. Win8DE

If it's not clear by now, we have some very sick people in this world.

Yes. But it is not because of some kernel magic.
It's partly due to some kernel magic.

However, geek snipe: Getting back to the original point re: Linux is more insecure due to a lack of AV, the fact that there's no overwhelming demand for such solutions, supports the argument that there's no problem worth fixing - the argument is meek Windows think at best and largely unsupported by anything.

Getting back to gaming discussion, I'm happy to report that I downloaded every game supplied for free via the recent EGS giveaway and all ran perfectly.

So you're saying Linux users are perfect and all wizards, even grandma who thinks she's using windows, but is actually on Linux? As well as there never being malware because open source magic? I think you vastly overestimate how much open source "protects" things. Security through obscurity was the Apple way... If Linux ever takes off, it'll be targeted to heck and back.

I'm saying that responses like this one is the reason the thread is locked.
