Here is a good spot for average power costs in the nation.

My new Dell Q6600 w/ 1 instance is putting out about 2200ppd using 120w,
250GB hd, 1Gb RAM
My old Q6600 w/ 1 instance put out about 2200ppd using 97w,
40GB HD, 2GB RAM
Now my old Q6600 w/ 2 instances puts out about 3300ppd using 135w,
320GB HD, 2GB RAM
Since I live in Virginia that means on the Dell on average I would pay about $0.25/day for 2200ppd and about 0.30 for the 3300ppd.
And actually the last time I looked it up the cost was about $0.0630/Kwh

I would be careful about going by that for your power costs since it's just an average for the state. It shows Missouri to be about $0.0765/KWh whereas I'm actually paying about $0.05/KWh according to my bill. While I'm on the lucky end of that, that means there are plenty of people in Misery that are paying well above $0.0765/KWh which can throw off any calculations you do.

I had a total usage of 1714KWh for the billing cycle. That's actually a lot higher than what it had been in previous months but I would say that's because I've been using the oven for cooking a lot more as well as the addition of 2 quad core machines. No getting around the fact that I'm using a lot more power than I used to.

I guess it's a good thing I picked up a 24" LCD yesterday to replace one of my 17" CRTs.
