hey guys, is it only me, ( i hope not) or do you also suffer from your comps shootin your room temps skyyyyy high? i get that! and a bad case of it too! it was 90 degrees in my room yesterday ( and like 80s outside) :confused: is there a remedy for this?

Get an air conditioning unit
Put a fan in the window
Turn off your PC
....
 
Sounds like an airflow problem in your house.

Zer0signal667's suggestion will certainly do the trick, but if you don't want to spend that kind of money, just buy a box fan and set it up at the door to your computer room, blowing cool(er) air in.

Mine was actually 3 separate suggestions :D Naturally, you don't want a fan in the window if you have the AC running.

I don't have AC, so I put a box fan in the window, or my doorway, depending on where I can get cooler air from.
 
I bet Zalman might be making a silent version of the cieling fan by now. But seriously, just turn off your monitor especially if it is a CRT. My room mates and I all leave monitors on in the winter to save on the gas heat bill.
 
CRTs generate lots-o-heat. Anyone have the balls to watercool or anything of that sort to a CRT before? I know there has been someone, cuz if u can think it .. its been done.
 
Also depending on what fans and overclocking ur doing it can cause really bad warmups in rooms me and my room mates heated our 3 bedroom 1 story house w/ my computer alone until january and it was about 30-40 degrees F outside!!! :D

Actually, the fans have nothing to do with it. No matter what kind of cooling you have, the CPU dissipates the same amount of heat. Well, unless you have really poor cooling... then it may suddenly begin dissipating zero heat, once it fries :D
 
My room gets soo damn hot between 1-4 PM.. that's with my AC on!!!! my apartment sucks in terms of cooling man.. that's why i'm moving out when the lease is up.. Light bulbs and CRT... hot hot hot!!! man seriously..
 
ya but when u have all the heat of a cpu getting pushed out by a single fan such as in a watercooling setup with a single rad and a single 120 on it the heat gets concentrated
 
Only 10F above outside air temps.
My boxen put out around 1.5 kw of heat.
So I'm around 10C above outside air temps.

Luck....... :D
