I'm going to be puchasing a 8800GT soon but I'm looking for companies that offer lifetime warranties. I know BFG does, but it looks like they're sold out :/

My current 6800GTOC died on me 3 times in the past 3 years.. and due to my warranty it was replaced without hassle and will continue to be for its lifetime. Im really pleased by BFGs warranty and I'm wondering if any other manufacturers offer the same thing?

Thanks [H]!

EVGA & XFX

like he said. xfx is double lifetime warranty. that means the person who purchases it new and the next owner get lifetime warranties if they register it when they receive them. From what i read they even cover overclocking. The evga warranty says that the original owner gets a lifetime warranty if they register it within 30 days of purchase, if not it is one year (http://evga.com/support/lifetime/).
.
PNY also offers a lifetime warranty. But unlike xfx or bfg, i believe they refer lifetime as the lifecycle of that card, which sucks.

You guys can correct me if im wrong, but i believe that is what my warr card on the 8800gts' said on my xfx and evga.

XFX is double (original and next owner) and they also cover OCing and fan replacement iirc
BFG is single but cover OCing as well iirc
EVGA is single but covers OCing and fan replacement. They also offer step-up which is great if a new product comes out w/in 90 days of your purchase.

PNY offers a fake lifetime warranty, as its only good for the product life not "forever" like the above 3.

Lifetime replacement warranty does not cover items out of production if the company no longer stocks them. (Lifetime is defined as the lifetime of the product on the market. Outdated technology is not covered by lifetime warranty if the item is no longer available on the common market as a new product.

So basically there warranty is anywhere from 6months to a few years depending on how long they keep stock of stuff. Many places no longer carry 320mb 8800gts cards so who knows how pny would handle that return even though its under a year of release.

Pny does have 3 different warranty levels though... 1(3), 3(5) and "lifetime" depending on which card you get. The numbers in ()'s are the extra 2 years when you register with them.

Basically.. EVGA, XFX and BFG are the 3 to buy from as their warranty and support are the best.
