Is it good for PC gaming? (Mortal Kombat X, Injustice Gods among us, Fifa 15, NBA 15...).
I've also considered another TV: Samsung 55" JS9000.

Please help me!!!

The OLED will be better for films etc. due to much better contrast... possibly gaming if you can live with 1080p at 55" and ~50ms input lag. JS9000 has lower input lag and is 4k, if you can run games at 4k.

I have one and it's amazing. Relatively low input lag (30ms) and contrast is mind-blowing. Unlike a lot of other TVs, putting it Game/PC mode doesn't hurt the PQ either. Depends how you plan on using it though. Due to lower pixel density 1080p isn't suitable for use up close in a big display.

If you're using it as a normal TV at a distance it's the best display you can buy for the $. No point in getting a 55" 4K display if it's going to be 8ft+ away, that calls for a 65-75" minimum.

I have a 55" LG OLED TV in my office, and I find it quite enjoyable for PC & console gaming once I spent the time to properly calibrate it. I find the input lag tolerable in game mode, and play most (around 90%) of my games on it. When I feel like I really need to be "competitive" in fast paced shooters, I have a BenQ XL2720Z (along with an assortment of other displays) to fall back on which I find to also be an excellent display.

It is amazing to me how the OLED will really just make any other screen look terrible in comparison. With that said, I find transitioning back to a TN or VA after using OLED much more tolerable than switching to something like an IPS where you have a ton of IPS glow. The poor and inconsistent contrast display of an IPS panel in darker scenes will drive you batty once you are used to the inky blacks of OLED.

There are a few caveats worth mentioning though. Some people have reported problems with image retention so it is wise to treat it with care when using as a PC display. 30-50ms of input lag is more than some people can tolerate. Without a proper calibration, you will likely have black crush when using with a PC with the HDMI black level set to "full".

Guys, I'd be just 4-5 feet away from the TV, will the lower pixel density affect me a lot?

At least with the store's demo content, pixel structure on this display is very noticeable unless at a distance.

Best would be if you can see the set locally someplace first and see how it affects you.

curious, do you use DSR when playing games, At that size I have to imagine 1080p looks rough even with an amazing OLED screen?

I do use DSR, helps a lot with aliasing.

I also sit around 7-8ft away. Like SH1 mentioned the pixel grid can be noticeable up close, creating a screen door effect. I can see it at around 5ft, of course depending on your sensitivity to that or eyesight it might not be an issue, definitely check it out in a store first if you can.

Thanks for reminding me about that, been close to pulling the trigger on an OLED for a while now, but as an up close monitor the OLED pixel grid a no go :\

I sat about 30" away from this TV and the grid was awful. I started seeing it in other places somehow, like my phone display and my car display - I really can't explain it. Maybe sitting in front of that "grid" view for hours led my eyes to see it on other screens as well?

Took a day or two and I stopped seeing it, but definitely unusable for me. I have the 4K version now. It is the best display I've ever seen, but the input lag is a slight turn-off. It's not unbearable, but it's noticeable compared to a "gaming" display. I think I'll accept that sacrifice though as using any backlit screen is just garbage now!
