One difference I've noticed is some of the other teams seem a touch more organized (no offense here, you should see my life). So I was thinking maybe we could define roles and have folks fill them. Make any sense? I think a lot of this stuff was on hardfolding.com, it just seems out of date by a touch. Honestly since I just started out, this is the first I’ve ever seen hardfolding.com running.

I am more then willing to help in whichever way, tried my
hand at recruiting but, bannage is bad. so enough of that
for a while.. what do you guys think i should do?

(I think we should make a sticky (i know there is one already, but follow along) of the
Trade/Swap/Freebie stuff for folders, but have it locked. Have people email one person
all their goodies, and then that person modifies said sticky (it would be locked so
no one else can post on it) and then that way it isnt a pain in the.. to go through
and find posts that have stuff to give away, and try to find out if people still have it
or not.. DR? up to that?

I saw on another team's forum where the more experienced folders would sign up to be in a pool of mentors, then as new folders came along they would be assigned to a mentor. The mentor role would be the new folders point of contact for questions, etc. Kind of like a big brother for new folders. I thought that was a very good idea.

You guys can make any thread you like, I have to delete Stealth ( hehehe ;) ) borging threads, notice how i provide the tools to do it in the FAQ section , but I do note that its NOT_LEGAL . I posted in that thread too, but I had to shut it down , thats all we need is for a spy from another team to see that ( even though it was only a poll ) and start talking shit,

I dont want to be one of those Nazi Mods, but I cant have any of those threads, sorry guys.

Now if you make a thread about hiding a umm...... legal client that you um..... got permission to install thats cool

We need people to write up new install guides. I think we need to put a list together of the guides that we need and then get people to volunteer to write one of them. The guides should be filled with images so new users can easily follow them. It great how we are willing to answer people question, but I think we could get more recruits if we had simple guides that they could follow then they won't need to ask questions.

I could write a guide, or a few guides in my free time, but I need a list of things that people have been confused about or have needed help on.

What do you all think?

Hey, I want in on the taunting part. Belong to most of our competitors forums, and would love to post my [H]'s in the forums that allow them. Wish I had bigger [H]'s, but working on it ;) .If somebody wanted to fold under my name for a week or so, I'd finally pass Mayhem33. Nah, that's no fun. I'll get him on my own.

I self-nominate for "Community Farm Remote Admins". I have lots of free time and will for the forseeable future, and I work on this stuff anyways. I would prefer to run my own distro, but if others would be more comfortable with Overclockix, that's also a possibility.

I already put in a bid to king to help out with hardfolding.com. I would love to give that site a fresh new look and help update the news and such. Last time that I asked it was taken personally and I got shot down, though.... so if I get rejected I'll likely start my own. :p
 
I can put out install guides for the windows 2000/XP and all the mac versions. Don't have linux so cannot help there. Just will have to figure out how to take screenshots on a mac. ;)

I never got around to populating this, but I'm happy to "donate" the site for coordinating the swapping of parts. I put it up for myself and my buddies to dump all our spare hardware to in the hopes of creating uses for stuff instead of leaving it in drawers de-valuing by the day. I never got around to putting all my junk up or telling anyone about it. Something like this would be a welcome addition to [H]ard|Folding I would think, if they want to do it in-house instead. I have no problem doing it for free, its hosted the same place as my hobby site I'm messing with so its not going anywhere. I can re-structure everything and even have no problem giving some "Head Folders" admin accounts for the classifieds software. Ignore all the current verbage, as I said it was originally intended for my buddies, etc.

just to let you all know, FLECOM and I have been cooking up a FBOX type thing since the days of Relic. When we heard DR_K13 is now a mod here, we started it back up. I will gladly take the place of the FBOX coordinator.


DR_K13 - We'll have a proposal to you by the end of the week, if that is okay. Then we/you/us can shoot it to kyle


P.S. Relic stated that Kyle was fine with our idea, times have changed though. Lets talk...

Nominate- screw that! Just pick something!!! If it's something you can do just make up a job and do it. Sound good? I was thinking have certian folks do certian things vs. everybody doing everything we might have better luck.

I dunno, I just make this stuff up as I go. I've been in the field all week, major brain damage here. Just fill in the blanks and I can get beck to edit the top thread, or DR_K can.

Anyway, i don't have a whole lotta free time as i'm a college student (that's not to say that you all have tons of free time, though! don't get me wrong! ;)) but i can whip up a few installer guides for Mac OS X... Just tell me what programs you want me to "install" and i'll see what i can do for you.
