Wow. Looks just amazing. Anyone else can't wait for this game to come out? I hear it won't be out until june! :-(
 
I was really hoping the exclamation point in the title meant you had some new juicy information about the game. You've saddened me.:(
 
i forsee myself playing that cornfield/farmhouse level over and over again after seeing the xplay game footage of it.
 
I'm really excited about this game, it is going to be awesome.
 
This will make a great training tool to prepare people for the coming zombie apocalypse.
 
I haven't paid much attention to it, but I'm always interested in a zombie game. Hopefully it's good!
 
What is unique in this game is that one can play as a survivor or as the infected. It is a Co-Op game, not sure if their is single player mode. The Survivor team tries to escape from the level, while the Infected players hunt down the survivors to stop them from finish the level. Team work is key for the survivors, otherwise the teammates will be picked off until only one is left. I believe when a survivor dies they can play as an infected to try to kill the rest of the team. Both sides have different elements of game play.

I should add that there are four or five unique classes of infected to play, each with their own special abilities. You can not play as the normal looking human zombies which are always controlled by the AI.

This game is being developed by Turtle Rock Studios which only recently became part of Valve.

Only if it's June 2009. Valve is the one doing the game now, so if it comes out this year, I'll be extremely surprised.
 
Actually Turtle Rock Studios is making the game. They were not acquired by valve until 2 months ago.
 
Looks very good on the eye candy end too, the videos make this game look outstanding. Please live up to the hype :)

Which is precisely why I said what I said. I suggest you look at Valve Time

Q3 2008 should actually translate into "the third week of Q4", but I still doubt it comes out this year.

Considering its only a recently acquired valve product it might make it out this year.
 
i am losing interest in this game since the huge delays I mean just reskin the source engine add a couple gameplay modes and finish the game lol

Are you kidding ? That's just another reason for it to be further delayed. If Valve takes so long with their own projects, imagine how long they will take, with something they didn't start...

Dont forget that their first release date ever was Februari 2007.

There is a story, and it unfolds as you play through the levels as has been stated by the devs. That was one of their main concerns, how can you tell a story that won't get old when people play the levels 100's of times?
 
The game will have a real singleplayer, it just happens that it will be the same game as multiplayer except your teammates will be AI-controlled. Even in multiplayer if someone leaves the game then they will be replaced with an AI till someone else joins the server and takes their place. So basically the game is both singleplayer and multiplayer, at the same time. It looks like they're trying to make a completely seamless experience.

But really, if you buy a co-op game to play it by yourself, you simply aren't going to get the full experience.
