Hello. I just wanted to ask how much electricity does my pc draw if I like to leave it on all day. I have a 500 watt ps and I leave it on at nights. Thanks

depends, your pc will draw a different amount of power depending on what its doing, and what parts you have in your pc.

Get a Kill-A-Watt or something similar and it will tell you. That's about the only thing we can tell you since we have no clue what you have in your system. I'm talking about every part including the model number and brand of the PSU. Some PSU's are not as efficient as others. The Kill-A-Watt is about the only way you will actually know.

Personally, I leave all my systems on 24/7/365. Currently that's 4 systems. I just make sure to turn monitors off as they like to suck power. I also have all system running 100% load all the time.

Yes, check out Kill-A-Watt if you want to know. I think most PC's use around 250-300w but it really depends on the hardware and the load or if it's OCed...

I leave my systems on all the time since I fold... I have a Kill-A-Watt thing but I didn't get a chance to use it and it is at home.. I will find out how much power this thing uses when I go back home next week.

Under full load, two instances of prime95, Luna for GPU, and copying files on every drive, my computer was using 330-340watts

Idle, the computer uses 185-190watts

And "idle" with two instances of F@H running, computer uses 270-280 watts.

and playing CS:Source with two instances of F@H, average is 310 watts.

Opteron 165 1800mhz overclocked to 2700mhz at 1.5v
2x1gb G Skill RAM
7800GT overclocked to something...
DFI Ultra-D motherboard
WD 74gb Raptor
Maxtor 250gb SATA
Maxtor 250gb SATA
and 6 fans

My recommended wattage was 468w from that site.
My computer never goes over 350w when I'm using it

hmm, 193 watts for my system  no wonder why its so cold in here...

Eh...that site doesn't have a 0% usage option. I mean, unless you fold all day, your CPU/GPU will be idle, which makes typical draw much lower than what they list.

I mean, I get 220ish watts for my system, but if my CPU isn't doing jack, it could be well under 150 watts. SPCR was correct on this already, but it's still funny seeing it. My 460watt PSU is never stressed by this setup haha.
