Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
AMD CPU Doc says "AMD Virtualization can enable client computers to seamlessly support multiple operating environments..." What kind of setup can take advantage of this feature: e.g. Host XP with multiple VM Server Ware quests?
AMD-V support is a CPU ISA, iirc. If it's enabled in the BIOS, and your CPU model supports it, and you have software that can use CPU assisted virtualization, then yes you can take advantage of it.
AMD virtualization extensions really are required for supporting different platforms/bits from the host -- for example: running win32 as a guest under linux64.
If you are going to do something like run 64bit guests under 64-bit hosts on linux, you can use paravirtualization to do this without virtualization extensions.
can someone recommend inexpensive but reliable "hypervisor" software that can be installed on the bare metal (aka type1) home desktop, like AMD Phenom II based and still be usable to run multiple quest OSes (Windows/Linux)?
