Hitachi Global Storage Technologies today announced its new Ultrastar* enterprise-class solid state drive (SSD) family, the industry’s first to use 25-nanometer (nm) single-level cell (SLC) NAND flash. The Ultrastar SSD400S.B family combines Hitachi’s proven enterprise hard disk drive (HDD) expertise with Intel’s extensive capabilities in developing high-endurance SLC NAND flash memory and advanced SSD technology.

It's good they are continuing making disks...but, whyyy did you sell the spining disk part to a shitty company! :(

Hitachi isn't a shitty company. I have one of their drives and it's reliable and quiet.

You just need to get over the old 60GXP thing which happened what 10 years ago. A lot has changed.

I know hitachi isn't a shitty company. Just the spinning disk part was recently bought by a shitty company...WD :(

After samsung got bought out I have no idea who to buy drives from anymore...you have a choice of crap performance (WD) or crap reliability (Seagate).

WD Black series are plenty fast. It's just the Blue or Green series performance is crap, but are generally crap performance because their just storage drives.

Guess my 200GB Ultrastar SSD400S (HUSSL4020ASS600) is now obsolete. Anyone want it for $1000? :D
