Latest AMD vs Nvidia DirectX12 Benchmarks

reshade and sweetfx work just fine for me on win10.

Most software seem to work fine but I have noticed Windows 10 to have memory leaks, where system processes take over 50% of memory at times and I'm using 32 gb of ram, so I know Windows shouldn't be taking up 16 gb with no other apps running, the only way around that is to restart the computer. It happens on occasions when the system is running many apps at once and shutting them down one after the other. Although its better than Windows 8 when Windows 8 was launched still has some stability issues, I'm sure most of the issues will be ironed out in 6 months time when Dx12 games start shipping out.

Sadly that statement holds little to no meaning where DX10 is just something which was questionable at best and Vista was not really something that you could consider being an upgrade.

Where Windows 10 allows your videocard to really do a lot more then is ever possible it should free game developers to make games as Ashes of the Singularity. Where you assume it is IQ it allows a lot more.

Vista was better than XP, it was a great upgrade for stability, the negativity portion of it was it took up too much ram it needed 4 GB to run well, where most computers were coming with 2 GB, and users were using 64bit Vista they should have gotten 4GB. Prior to upgrading to Vista, I had to shut down and restart my computer about once a week, after Vista, I was able to keep it on, with sleep or hibernate for over 6 months with no problems at all, it was almost as stable as my Red Hat Linux partition when abused with long recycle times for the OS. Also XP had issues after numerous installs where the registry gets corrupted, Vista, 7 and 10 still have this issue, but it doesn't happen nearly as fast or often.

Works fine for me with Witcher 3, but not in GTA5, you got that working with GTA5?

Also most witcher 3 preset I like are all made with old reshade that does not work with win 10, I end up using fantasy HD with my own tweak.

So it doesn't allow any IQ improvement or speed improvement yet so much more what?

Seeing the System process taking what looks like a lot of memory is a side effect of a new optimization in Windows 10. It's not a memory leak.

Man, I think it's been a couple weeks since the last thread on this topic!

Games now can push 10K-15K batches. Under DX12 on 8 cores you should be able to push 100K+ batches .

That means that there are no more restraints for developers to make games which do not play well with (dx11/9)drivers because those features in DX12/Vulkan/Mantle are all done by the game developer.

I'm sorry but are you really arguing about Windows operating system where windows in general is a steaming pile of crap. With solutions/features that are marketing based rather then technology based?

I ran windows XP_64 for years :) I once had an uptime for over a year on Windows 2K machine but that is something more for the thrill-seeker department (on the internet even).

Win 2k, XP 64 used NT kernals, same as Vista, so yeah they are different from the XP kernel.

Why did they turn MSAA off in Crazy settings ? .. It's a nice hit but my 290x can still run it.

because MSAA caused nvidia to drop lower than AMD performance, so they had to make it fair

Those numbers are no bueno anyway. I pull 40+ fps with a 8350/390 rig and crazy setting...
