Laptop PSU Issue

I know a bit about PSUs when it comes to desktops, but not much. Alas, I have a friend who claims to have a PSU/adapter issue with their laptop. They have a Toshiba Satellite P25-S507, and they claim that every couple of months, any PSU/adapter they've used with it has swiftly died. It just eventually stops working altogether - the battery cannot be charged, etc. They replace it with a new one, and it works...for one to three months. I've checked, and supposedly the PSUs/adapters they've been getting are of the proper amperage and make for the model. They've as well changed brands and suppliers a couple of times now. What might be causing such a problem, if anyone has an idea?

A few reasons:
- Bad power in the home
- Heat (i.e burying it beneath a box, a pile of clothing, etc)
- Dropping the laptop PSU often (that happens quite often)
