My laptop took a crash.. I was wondering how i could hook up my laptop hd to my desktop is this possible?

Yes it is possible depending on what kind of hard drive your laptop had. If it was just SATA, then just hook it up to your PC (assuming that it has SATA) like you would with a normal SATA drive. Pretty simple.

If it was an IDE drive, then you'll need just an enclosure

Regardless of whether the laptop HDD is IDE or SATA, you can find an internal or external adapter for it at NewEgg (among other retailers).

If you're simply trying to extract information from it, I recommend getting a USB adapter with IDE, ATA-6 (notebook IDE), and SATA connectors so you can read virtually any IDE or SATA drive.

Okay thanks for all the info guys, I am going to have to get a converter becuase my system is IDE.

The HD is Toshiba HDD2d90 i am not to familiar with SATA HD's but i think thats the connection.
