Laptop Hard Drive Upgrade: Seagate/Maxtor 160GB -VS- Western Digital Scorpio 160GB

I need help deciding which hard drive to get for my laptop. Currently it has a 60GB HD which isn't enough space for me.

These are the two I thought would be best:

Seagate/Maxtor 160GB Ultra ATA/100 Hard Drive (ST9160821A-RK)

-OR-

Western Digital Scorpio 160GB EIDE Hard Drive (WD1600BEVE)

Also, is 160GB the largest capacity available at the moment?

Fujitsu makes a 200gig, 4200rpm HD. So little bigger, a little slower.

The next generation of drives has been paper launched by a few companies, but I have yet to see any of them for sale, anywhere.

I'd probably go with the Seagate, it has their five year warranty.

Would I see a performance difference over drives with 8MB cache?

Depends what you are doing. Proberbly would go for the Seagate.

Not really. It's a very minuscule difference at best.
