1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
gaming mostly, school work...
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
I would like to keep it under 600, but 700 max shipping included. I would like to get things as cheaply as I can.

Yup, Im either using Windows XP home or Vista buisness, but I would like to have something that has DX10.

Minus shipping/taxes, you have enough money left over that, should you decide to do so, you could get yourself a bigger/better monitor. The HD4850 is actually overkill for even the 19 inch monitor, but it shouldn't give you any trouble with your dual-monitor setup.
 
quick question, is all of this from newegg?
and can anyone tell me the diffrence between 800 and 1066 mhz ram as far as proformance. I havent really compared the two side by side, so I dont know if I really need it...

See all those highlighted prices? They're all links. Hover them, and you'll see that they're all from newegg. In fact, click on them and use them when you're buying. ;)

The performance difference lessens past DDR2-800 on the AMD platform, but its only $5 more for faster RAM:
$45 - G.Skill 4GB(2x2GB) DDR2-1000 F2-8000CL5D-4GBPQ
 
If there is no noticeable diffrence, I dont think Ill bother, and thanks for the build mate!:)
I think Ill end up using buisness, as I already have a license, so that saves me the money on buying vista.

And is there a verison of this case with a side window, just for kicks?
 
Is your Vista Business license 32-bit or 64-bit? With a 32-bit license, you'll only be able to use around, at most, 3.2GB of RAM.
 
I have 64-bit, but I also have a copy of XP that is 32. I dont really know what Im going to use, but I dont think Im going to need anymore than 3.2 gb of ram for any of the current games.

But if you're a heavy multi-tasker, like DX10, want to be set for future games, then I recommend 64bit Vista.
 
I am to. Im leaning toward using vista anyway, but I just wanted to know what you guys thought.
