Can not and will not comment there, but I feel compelled to express my satisfaction with the quality of the questions. This community is a tough crowd.

It will be interesting to see if AMD still thinks this was a good idea after they digest the results.

They (AMD) will cherry pick those questions, haha they not answering even 10 percent of them IMHO.

Wait wait wait, I just thought of something else like an analogy.

Imagine if AMD hyped up the next flagship GPU the 7970, and went on for 1-2 years about how the architecture is going to revolutionize GPU's, then when released it gets outperformed by a 6970 LOL! and by then 6970's are 50-75 less than launch, and the 7970 is like 400+ dollars?

What would you think as a consumer?

You forgot "and it uses 600w per card."

I feel just about the opposite as the OP.

Seems a whole lot of cheap shots being taken, and some questions are really not relevant and show that quite a few folks asking the questions don't really know much about how a processor works.

Here's one that screams out to me. Most are far more subtle.

"Why,after a 2 year development period, did you release a product that is on par with pentium4?(barely)"

Also a great many of those responses are paragraph diatribes about how AMD stole someone's baby and fed it to a dingo and is too stupid to know they did it.

lol, well the thread has run to several pages now...guess I was scanning over the junk. There are some very good questions in there.

But Kyle left it in :D and hasn't deleted it hahaha! He benches CPU's for a living right? :D

A mod or someone needs to delete that post if he isn't in. The guys account is 1 day old as well, go figure.

I mostly agree. I read the first couple pages and there was some good questions...however most of them were less of a question and more of a cheapshot ending in a question mark.

Thank god their ATI team isn't related to this travesty.

As others have said, they'll cherry pick the questions and then answer the question the questions like a politician. It really is just more damage control on their part. They're going to pick and choose what they want and answer the questions in a way that will hopefully get the tech community to rephrase their opinions. In any event, I really don't see how it will help them. When their marketing team released that memo after the bust of a release Bulldozer was it didn't help them at all either. It just made them seem desperate.

I'm really surprised the thread isn't full of "LOL INTEL 4LYFE" and a bunch of AMD bashing, honestly. I barely visit this shithole of a forum because this community is ass, but I was really surprised to at least see it somewhat civil in that thread.

Odds are mods are just deleting all the bullshit and banning people though. I have no faith in this community and it's out done by a lot of other ones.

pray please enlighten us poor heathens where the kewl kidz hang out

I been around a lot of the hardware forums...I keep coming back here

I get what he meant, delivery was shit.

This community isn't a community as much as it is intel guys and amd guys. or nvidia guys and amd guys.

We are pretty fractured, I do wish we were more solid, but this is a pretty huge population too so that plays into it.

Course he is an AMD guy and that bias is a lot of why he hates us.

I am going to not drink another beer, I am talking too much.

If he's and AMD guy, whats with the Intel rig in his sig?

I too want to know where this better forum is at. If its actually better, I'll be going there. And I've been coming here for some time now.

duh, about 80% of them ask the same question just written in a different way. can't blame them for not answering every question, blame the people that asked them instead of looking through the thread and realizing the question was already asked on page 1.

then stop coming here, its pretty simple.

btw that's about as far from an analogy as you can get, you might want to google what an analogy is.

Basically what I want from AMD is not answers it is a CPU which is priced fairly and works like a charm. I don't want to hear anything from them regarding the problems around manufacturing, chip design, bowl movement, tin cans and so on.

Have to agree on that one.
I'll still read any replies AMD make to questions but I'm not looking for excuses but solutions.:D

You forgot "and it uses 600w per card."

Not quite, but similar disappointment happened not that long ago. 2900XT.

End users who wouldn't purchase anything but ATI cards cried in the forums like children, while the rest bought nVidia and moved on.
