Koolance

I dont have that Koolance product, but I have the Koolance EXOS-AL and it is awesome.

Works well, it's well built, looks great and is very quiet.
 
you could do much better for the same price as far as performance goes. on the other hand it dosent get much easier than Koolance for setup and maintenance in the prebuild market.
 
Yeah you will get good performance from that setup.

But man, the price on that cpu block just made my neck twitch...

I like this set up it comes with a Lian Li chassis mabey why it cost so much, Im open for suggestion's though, but Id rather have a pre- built

you already have high end air cooling on your proc at least. it would be a shame to go to H2O and get worse temps. thats probably what would happen if you cooled anything but the CPUand NB. that case can be had for under 100 bucks these days as well. if you are planning on adding the NB and SLi setup to the loop i would reccomend somthing more like this : http://www.frozencpu.com/cas-169.html or even better this : http://www.frozencpu.com/cas-305.html

Worse temps? With my EXOS AL I am cooling my CPU and my VPU and temps never get above 42C and that is on low mode...silent.

I was just planning cooling the CPU and my rig realy loud so thats also a factor, I will be adding a DFI Expert for better OCing, I get around 37 Idle and 55 load.

this is no EXOS my friend. your exos usese one large radiator with comparitavly low restriction and the EXACT same pumps as the 426+. the 426+ on the other hand has one smaller radiator at the top similar in design to the EXOS but approx. 50% smaller and another 120mm winding tube style radiator at the front. it all looks hunky dory till you figure out the pumps are not pushing half the volume they are in the exos with all the resistance. anyway my point is that the systems I linked to were about the same price and will almost certainly kill the 426+ in temps and proably noise too.
 
If your looking for a good prebuilt watercooling case, check this one out. Comes with pretty much the best DIY watercooling loop installed.

what did you think of the ones that i suggested? it is the enclosure you want but a much more high powered cooling system in the same price range.

thats why i suggested the frozen cpu cases. they are already done up just like the Koolance ones. DIY performance with prebuilt ease.
 
For him it would be extremely difficult to find a location for the pump in the PC61 FrozenCPU case. With SLI, mounting the pump in a position that does not block airflow, and is out of the way of the cards, HD's, and optical drives would be an effort. The PC75B that you linked would be a much better alternative, but unfortunately it comes with a heafty price tag.

The Exos system is about the best you can get for an easy to mantain, low cost, easy build, prebuilt system. To refill it you don't even need to open your case. With that being said, I have a Swiftech set with a 120MM raddy and mounted on a blowhole/Apogee block on PC65B, but its certainly not easier to assemble.
 
ok, he is not trying to buy an exos and they dont make them anymore to boot.
i am more than sure you can mount the pump from teh system i suggested in the 5 1/4" bays if you want to give a couple up, or you could just mount it on the bottom of the case like alot of people do (and like it is in the picture). there is still plenty of room for SLi cards especially considering he dosent want to cool them anyway.
 
I suppose he could mount it in a 5/14 bay.

As far as mounting it on the bottom of the case, it likely will not fit.

His cards will take up 5 PCI slots with the DFI eXpert board.

If you count down 5 PCI slots from the top, you can see that his cards will clearly hit the pump. But I definetely agree, that setup would be better if you can mount the pump in the 5 1/4 bay... possibly even the floppy bay... Lee do you have a floppy drive?

No I dont use a floppy drive.
 
well there you go... mount the pump in the 3 1/2" bay and you get the same case with more performance for cheaper witha kick ass bay res too boot! :p
 
i use a koolance block, i dont really like it, when tightened down all the way, you can still rotate the block a little. I just build a custom machine for a customer and they used a dangerden water block. The block mounting was amazing, ive already ordered a dangerden block to replace my koolance....
