Kinect + Projector = Hadouken!

This video showing some guy using a Kinnect and projector to create virtual light sources is pretty damn impressive. The ability to "throw" light is a bonus too.

Cool. Reminds me of 25 years ago, when i made fractals filming a lighter in front of the television. It started to create a nice fractal type image, that stayed there and changed when the fire was ended.

Seriously though, the kinect has some groundbreaking hacks for tech use and touchless computing in general. Way to go Microsoft, errr, yeah.....

Nice...it was able to see the studs in the wall due to the infared filter in the kinect

I think we just witnessed the foundation for a real-world holodeck. He described it in the later half when discussing the future of how this can be implemented once they can figure out how to get eye tracking to work.
