So my PSU Antec TP2 - 550 I thought would be able to handle my Phenom 9500, 1 cdrom, 1hd, 8 gigs of ram, and 9600gt.

I first started running into probs by just a random shutdown. It wouldent happen immediately after cpu hit 100% but later on, time was random.... So then i decided I had a better PSU in another comp and switched to it... Went to use the old antec and its dead now. Is it possible I killed the thing by it not being able to handle the power?

This is the PSU im using right now.

Is it safe to use that or do I really need to buy something alot bigger. Im running 100% CPU 24/7 and no idea on how much load the vid card is getting. DvDrom can go if needbe.

Thanks for help.

What's your hardware specs? That Sunbeam has adequate power but, not certain on how reliable it is though.

Classic case of bad capacitor syndrome - RMA it, and Antec will likely send you an OEM Seasonic replacement that won't run into that issue.

The Sunbeam is from a different OEM, but uses the same Fuhjyyu caps your old Antec did. I'd keep it cool if you want it to last, and swap it out for something better when you can.
