keep the forums up?

its like every week they go down a few times and

It does seem to be getting worse and worse. While I fully understand that the forums are a privilege and not a right (please dont take this as bitching) it would be nice to hear some feedback as to what exactly is going on with the server, and if they have any fixes in store.

And you all bitch when they won't create sub forums or create a new forum for you. Or they won't change search times ar any of that. Then, you finally guilt Kyle into it, and the server goes down.(I'm not going to lie, I have been part of these threads as well).

Now the server goes down and the first thing you all do when it comes back is bitch. Whos fault is that? Yours. Not [H], you.

So, go ahead, beg for sub forums and shortened search times. I don't care, just don't bitch when it goes down.

Also, don't take this post the wrong way. I know most here aren't bitching. However, there are those that do. And this is for them.

QFT. Shit happens... these servers take a rather large load. Nothing says the second Kyle wakes up, he is going to want to devote his entire day to fixing the forums, holiday or not.

Sure, I suppose some feedback on why they are going down would be nice, but its not really necesssary. It's not going to chance the fact that they are down just because you know the reason why.

I've got nothing against the server going down for an upgrade or new features or something, but I'd love it if someone would tell us beforehand, or explain on the "database error" page that comes up instead. Of course, if something just broke, and they don't know about it, it's not like there's anything to be done.

(And here I thought I broke it. I tried to buy a subscription and came up with the DB error page. Maybe I should try again...)

Edit: Bought a lifetime subscription instead of a 1 year. Maybe my monies will help a little.

QFT^2 @ shit happens.. theres a million things that can go wrong and that doesn't even include maintenance and upgrades so I'd cut them some slack as well

You got what you've paid for, which is probably nothing. Its a free service, and the [H]ard staff are good people working to get the problems ironed out. I can understand complaining if this cost per month, but its free...

I have a feeling this forums problems have to do with its size... I didnt think MySQL was meant for such a massive amount of... stuff.
