I'm not quite sure what hugging a moose has to do with anything, but borg a few machines first, just incase the moose doesnt like being hugged :D

Kinda fun posting at overclockers.com, or OCAU.com, and dropping you're badge at the end of a post. Heck, I use mine anywhere I post. When people ask about it, I tell them how to get their own [H]'s :D .

4. Haven't married her yet... saving up for the ring/house/car/etc
5. I think I'm with LPerry on this one, I'll stick to his program

whats the name your folding under now LPerry? just curious was lookin for ya but nothing seems to show up. of course i could be trying the wrong names :p

top 50 is that on the team or worldwide? top 100 on the team would be nice but with all the big hitters as of late i seem to be going backwards. was so close to the top 100 too. :( currently 114 but Hito is about to pass me so 115 within the next day or two

Since this thread is totally hijacked...

The way I am analyzing the stats, you have to maintain and average of just over 600 points per day if you want to stay in the top 100 (have to get there first ;) ).

Of course, I still have around a month before I make it there, and I'm sure there is creep (i.e. next week it will probably be greater than 610 points per day to stay in top 100).

Anywhooo....

i got this old machine "boxen?" and i just got fah, i dont know any terminology for what you guys are saying, but i am interested in the program, i also run seti@home, but that doesnt matter.

i need more info, on a "tea" i can join, without getting lost in the jargon.help me plz.

3) Spend no less than $5000 on more boxen - spent >$2000 on various parts in the last two months, mainly for the big-boy in my sig, tho I added a 1.6 GHz pizza box does that count?
4) Divorce wife - nope.... been with the warden 13+ years, she's staying right where she is.

okay, lemme first say this computer is OLD SCHOOL, it is a p2 mmx(450mhz), oc'ed to ~504mhz
-i ran fah all night and into today, and was still at 1/400, is this normal?
--how do i join the hardforum team?
---where can i see what "borgs, and farms",and all that shit mean?

"FBNF" is a Fly By Night Folder, here today, gone tomorrow.
"Naked" is running a system without a case.
"NSZ" is the No Scroll Zone. You'll know it if you ever get there.
"PPW" is short for Points Per Week.
"PPD" is short for Points Per Day.
"WU" is a work unit. WUs are worth points.
"SWMBO" is She Who Must Be Obeyed.
"Mojo": Alcoholic beverage with magical OC enhancing capability. See Relic for more information.
"PizzaBoxen": Preferred mode of clothing naked boxen utilizing Pizza Boxes in the Relic [H]ousehold. (old method, replaced by PherretBoxen)
"PherretBoxen": Revised Preferred mode of clothing naked boxen utilizing any spare electronic appliance/AVGear ( i.e. VCR) in the Relic [H]ousehold, usually created by the [H]ardBard's Spawn.

Older terms not used much any more:
"Hobbit" is the original term used for a computer put together to run folding from spare parts.
"Gnobbit" is the same as Hobbit, but was for running Genome.

It sounds a little slow. My PentiumII 233 Mhz (96mb ram) takes about 1 hour per Tinker frame.

What OS are you running? Are other programs running on that computer? What FAH version are you using?

BTW: Welcome! :)


 
i run win98 s.e., i have lots of other programs on this box, but thats only until next week, when i replace this one with a "current" system, ie- abit m/b, athlon xp 3000+, powercolor 9600 vid card, for starters.

i will be keeping this computer online, probably simply for storage and folding.

it is fah4.0

Well depending on the project that is running on that box with other stuff running it could take a long time. You might want to change to running timeless wu's on that one.

Don't forget to borg(assimilate or make it run F@H under your name also) the new box when you get it!
 
it seems as though i have totally taken over this thread, and i appoligize:

that being said... i plan on "borging" my fathers computer very soon, and i want to be "the farmer in the dell" assuming my fiance lets me fold on her box.

of course, my new amd(first amd ever) will fold. as well as serve me WAY better than this p.o.s. i have been on four 3 years.
