Dude, he's your FRIEND and you're selling it on ebay??? Spot him. Make him buy you beer for the next, oh, 43 years. And not just in bars, but call him and have him bring a cold case to your place whenever the thirst hits you.
43 years, now come on. $1k worth of decent beer at a decent bar is only a few hundred beers, which is a weekend for some crazy ogre that can drink 100 beers per day for 3 straight days.![]()
can you tell us more of your system?
PSU etc..
Sure. So far this is what I have.
Evga SR-2 MB
Intel dual 5649 hex core CPU @ 4.0ghz
Dual GTX 690 Video Cards
Koolance 370 water blocks
Koolance PMP-400 pump
Koolance dual 240 radiators
48gb of GSkill DDR 1600 Ram
Crucial M4 256gb drive for OS
WD Black 2tb Data Drive
Silverstone 1500w power supply
*loooooong whistle* Very nice! I hope you have a gorgeous case planned to display all that beautiful hardware! This looks like it could make for a nice build log, I look forward to checking out your completed build!
Sell on amazon, you may get more than on eBay... Look forward to seeing benchmarks. Why did you not wait for the 4GB/core cards? (or am I dreaming them up)
FWIW, the Rosewill Thor V2 is my pick for a future 4-way SLI setup.I have been taking pictures of everything so I'm sure I can post them after I'm done. Still deciding on the case. Not sure yet.
There won't be an 8GB 690. They are all produced by NVIDIA so all 690s will be the 4GB reference design.Sell on amazon, you may get more than on eBay... Look forward to seeing benchmarks. Why did you not wait for the 4GB/core cards? (or am I dreaming them up)

Didn't know they even said 8gb models were being made.

Like I said, I'm probably dreaming... but maybe not, why else release a third version?
My guess:
It's going to be EVGA GeForce GTX 690 Hydro Copper
same card OCed with a water block installed
All GTX 690s are the same. AIB makers can't change anything at all.
