Just another storage pool/file replicating home server OS

Yah worth a look. Will definitely take this OS for a test run in a few weeks.

So the Amahi....is that a seperate OS built on a Linux kernel or a nice GUI or ??? I dont quite get it.

The Greyhole on the other hand, man, when that goes live, will be killer. As a WHS user and a freenas, etc user the 2 things that make me prefer WHS is 1) ability to just add drives to increase storage, and 2) the backup system is very user friendly. If Greyhole turns out to be good I may be able to just set up a WHS box just to backup other PC's. Maybe an Atom based system with one large HD and not much else.

Nice find.

Looks like an application that sits on top of fedora 12.

Requirements From the download link:
A computer, 800MHz/512MB RAM or better
A bootable Fedora 12 Install DVD (torrents, mirrors)

Greyhole is nowhere near production ready, and would not trust any data you deem important to it.

A very cool concept, but its just a concept and needs some work IMO.
