• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

I understand the need for the post limit on the for sale/hot deals forum but I have been here for at least 3 months and I think I am at 15 posts now. I don't believe in spamming just quality posts. I was wondering is there any ethic to just spamming your way up to post there or should I just stay at my rate which seems to be about 5 posts a month as I hate to create rubbish if possible. I am interested in trying to find some of the old dual core s939 amd chips but I don't want to be an annoyance and spam my way there so i can post a WTB. If this is rubbish I suppose just disregard it.

Spamming your way to post in the FS/FT subforum will get you either a warning or a ban by mod here on the forums.. I forget which though. Maybe even both.

But basically, you can stay at your current rate or try to post a bit more, not spam more.

You could always drop the dough on a GenMay subscription, and post nonsense there =

The whole idfea behind the 50 post limit is to get you involved in the community and build trust and credibility, not to run up 50 posts so you can get into the FS/T forum or [H]otDeals. Take your time and find a forum that has interest to you and the posts will happen.

50 posts is nothing
getting involved in a couple of threads (news ones are always... fun) and you will soon reach it

So your only contribution to this site is just to buy/sell/trade hardware? Aren't there other outlets for such deals and trades?

I would find it hard to believe that the ONLY thing you have to contribute - based on the post above which is well thought out and nicely put - is "rubbish" and nothing more. Geez, the post above makes about 85% of the stuff we see on a daily basis look like gibberish. :)

At least you had/have the guts and the intelligence to pose the question in a well structured way. Most of the time when people ask about that 50 post requirement it's like "0H N0E5, I N33D to sell MY STUFF and I can't post WTFZ0RE MAN... this forum SUX" or words to that effect.

Find some topics that interest you and make comments or speak from experience, you'll do fine and you'll be ready to hit the FS/FT forum in no time.

If you don't have anything more than FSFT to contribute here, you're likely not wanted.
