InfoWorld says that software that could be used to turn a web browser into a hacker's tool has been leaked to the Internet after someone downloaded it during the Shmoocon hacker conference last month.

The software, called Jitko was written by Billy Hoffman, lead researcher at Spy Dynamics Inc. Hoffman demonstrated the code on March 24 as part of a presentation on the dangers of JavaScript malware. Hoffman had discovered a way to write a Web vulnerability scanner in JavaScript, a Web language that can run in any browser.

how is this a problem. of course it was leaked, and could be recreated if it wasnt. the exploit getting out isnt the problem, the fact that it exists is the problem.

And people keep criticizing the presenters of a wireless driver vulnerability on Macs for using PowerPoints instead of demo'ing it live at a hackers conference.
