By placing my order for 16GB of memory.

I was at Fry's earlier in the day and was also going to buy an Asus P8Z77-V Pro but they did not have one in stock.

I know IB is still about a month away, but I'm getting the itch and I figure RAM is a pretty safe item to purchase now. I doubt it's going to get any cheaper. I think I'll probably go ahead and order/buy a heatsink now as well.

Still to come:
ASUS P8Z77-V Pro
i7 3770k
GTX 680 (though if 7970's drop in price enough by the time IB comes, I may opt for that instead)
Intel 520 240GB SSD
 
Is the RAM rated at 1.5V? How much did you pay?
 
Yeah, I could have saved a few bucks by getting CAS 9 or 10, but splurged on the 8.

In the grand scheme of things, I'll be keeping this machine for the next several years. (I've had my Q6600 for 4 years and 2 months) so an additional $20 is just a small drop in the bucket.

The ones you linked are 9-9-9 vs 8-8-8

You should have went with the C9 RAM, you won't notice a difference at all.
