I couldn't decide on wether or not to run all 4, or just two in the quadbox when I was gone, so I left all 4 in and set up remote destop. Fired up all 4 now tho, so I got 8 total running. Hope I still got a house when I get back :D

These + 1x SMP + 1x 8800GT total for approx 65k PpD. I also got 4 Dell-servers with old Quad(s) also doing about 700-900 PpD each on the WinSMP client. Should boost me up the ranks while I'm gone :)

FOLD ON!

Holy cow. I guess you'll be mowing me over while you're on vacation. There is nothing I can do to stop that.

WTF!!!

Nothing feel better than mowing people while drinking a good tequila on the beach :)

Its amazing what someone with a few PCIe slots & nvidia videocards can do PPD wise.

Too bad there aren't more programs taking advantage of videocards' process power.

Its exciting to think what CUDA + videocards could do for encoding & some other processor intensive tasks.

Indeed. With CUDA, math intensive calculations could be done faster and cheaper than huge server farms. Imagine our future battle tanks using GPUs to do the trajectory calculations for the main gun. I know the Abrams can calculate the trajectory of a round and adjust the aim accordingly within a matter of seconds, but I'm thinking this could be done in a fraction of a second.

Now I wonder what tedkj's electric bill will be

be careful with remote desktop, for whatever reason it breaks the gpu client if you log in remotely. i read somewhere that using vnc would work, but obviously you'd need to setup vnc server first.

Wow tedjk  that is super fantastic

But I wish you wouldn't use the word fired up. You could rattle some cages, like the one S**** is in. (notice I didn't divulge Sunin's name :p (only kiddin' Sunin, only kiddin' :))

FOLD ON!

DO NOT use RDP!

Remote desktop will screw up your clients.
You need to use VNC.
If you are using Vista, download UltraVNC and load it.

53,760 in last 24 hrs.
Just ramping up :)

Hmm.. I've been using RDP since I set it up, even when I was at home. Doesn't seem to cause any issues. Maybe it would bork it if I removed the dongles?

If anything happens I'll have one of my buds stop by and fix it ;p

I can come by if you need anything. ;)

You will pay for my airfare, right? :D

RDP gives a driver error and stalls the GPU2 client when you connect...not sure what happens when you have 4 clients, but Stanford confirms that RDP is incompatible with their GPU2 client.

Just trying to help. I've had RDP kill my GPU2 clients due to the way it handles virtual video drivers, but VNC works without issue.

If I see a news story about Norway's power grid going down I'll know the cause. WTF!

i have to ask, perhaps b/c I am dumbfounded at the sheer power you have packed into that machine, but how do you setup the clients to pound out that kinda pwnage? I've got to learn how to maximize points per day now.

What kind of temps are the GPUs running? Just looking at the pic
you posted of the 4 GPU side by side gives me wood. But brings
up the ? of that's alot of BTUs, how do you cool it. Looks like you
are folding nekked(leSlie delete the perverted thoughts from your mind :p)
so a decent 20" box fan would work :D Anyway just curious?
