I just received my 710T from Dell today and based on the MonitorsDirect calibration page I have no dead pixels. However, in many applications and videos I usually see green/red pixels around the screen...especially in videos...did I get a bad one or am I not doing something right?

Using the dvi connection on the monitor connected to a Radeon 9700 Pro at 1280x1024@70hz. Running at 16 bit color for now, when I had it upto 32 bit color I would usually get even more pixels.

naitive refresh is 60 hertz on most lcd, Perhaps thats your issue. The60 hertz is a nightmere on crt's but not lcd

also the monitor looks fine on analog...well at least there are no green/red pixels all over the place
 
That looks more like a problem with your video card, something with the DVI port is broken.
 
It's very possible that the DVI cable that came with the monitor is defective. If it is merely DVI that's the culprit, I wouldn't attempt to use it. DVI is nice, but unless you look at the screen alot, you won't notice the true difference in color optimization.

It's also possible, but extremely small in probability, that the DVI slot on your actual 9700 Pro could be defective.

I know I run the same monitor on a Powercolor 9700 Pro and I have no issues. Who made your video card?

I have the ATI branded 9700 Pro.

Tried out an analog/dvi converter that I got with my video card and no signal was detected (had the converter on the analog cable....plugged into the dvi on the video card and analog on the monitor)
