is this SSD worth?

It's the older Vertex 3. The current Vertex 4 is better in performance, and some would say reliability. The Vertex 3 has a 3 year warranty.

I would rather spend my money on Samsung or Intel.

Not really: There are good Sandforce drives out there like the Intel 520, 330, and 335 series SSDs since those SSDs uses Intel's firmware for the Sandforce controller and not the stock firmware. Since Intel has a high reputation for SSD reliability, I'm willing to recommend a Sandforce based drive from them.
