Is this some sort of hardware failure or a driver issue?

Ever since I installed Ubuntu and then Windows 7, I've been experiencing a type of blue screen that you can see in the picture below. I'm forced to reset the machine. What could be causing this? This is my desktop in my sig btw...

Try doing a fresh reformat and reinstallation of Windows 7?

bad memory on the video card? That would be my guess, but could be drivers, if I use displayport sometimes I can get the whole screen to wig out on my card, I just turn my monitor off and back on again and it fixes it.

Well I did just do that... But I guess I could try again.

It's possible I suppose... I'll try the monitor trick
