Of course it's possible, but I don't know of a product that does it or a real use case offhand.

You're likely going to need to hack it up. Easiest might be a HDMI switcher that does IR, and use software on a timer to send IR signals to switch it.
Alternatively, an HDMI a/v receiver with network control (or IR or HDMI CEC), but you're more likely to have autoswitching features you might not want.
