Absolutely not! I got a few friends to start folding in the last couple weeks, and I'll be helping a sibling start tonight over the phone.

Anybody know why FLECOM's megafarm hasn't been putting up more than about 10k ppd (ignoring the uncredited WU stuff that's going on)? I thought 600 computers would be able to put up more points than that.
 
Of course it's not okay, just remember though, its late summer now, and the warm months are dwindling.... which means its OC'ing time!

good news for my primary machine. its beiing moved down stairs where it is cooler. and when i woke up today i saw only fog out the windows...we all know that can only mean its a good day to oc

Besides, I had no access to the internet since Friday until I got to work today. Too busy doing other stuff to get over to my friend's house where my internet addiction is satisfied. Man, it really sucks being poor. Luckily there is caching of timeless units and old crappers that are still good enough to do a few things on.

I spent some time messing around with the dually PII last night so I could actually watch some old Divx stuff I have and keep the video and audio in sync. It's not easy on something that slow.

There are 2 known causes of this...
a)getting married
b)no "borging" due to cause a)
C) any other reasons or bad things in life can be related again to a)

You gotta admit that they have stepped up to the plate even though we put in so many new members.

Still the next two weeks are critical for me. Might have a small farm/garden/orchard/potted plants coming up. Pics when it comes up.

Hey, for the most part every one of those is better than my main crapper. It's a dually PII 266. It also happens to be my main machine right now since it's the only one I can afford to have at my apartment with no internet access.

I was thinking about pulling the duallies out and tossing in a Celeron 633 and mobo (if they work right) so I can play some of my old Divx stuff. I hate to take out the duallies. They're just too much fun and great for multitasking. If I had another PSU I could just run both but I don't have that right now. My friend burned up a PSU I had let him borrow and since he doesn't have much in the way of money I can't make him get me a new one.

I'm sure I'll find a way to get the other stuff up and running one of these days. I've got a PIII 500 that I also would like to get running.

 
It's bad when there isn't any threads on the first page of OCAU talking about

A) How scared they are of us overtaking them
B) How they are going to catch up to us
C) How badly they are FLOGGING our ASSES.
 
10 more days and I will have the farm up and running. Got about 15 boxes here just waiting for me to have the carpet put down in my server room so I can set em all up.

You don't need to wait for the carpet. Just get the things setup. Besides, you don't want the carpet anyway. It just creates more dust you have to clean out and traps heat in the summer. You're just better off without it. ;)

 
being 2nd is not ok with me..... Went to a local pcclub Sunday so I could just buy & build... got a little help from a nice guy who said he had "heard of FAH" before.. ended up with 3GHz more P4 folding power. Needed an additional case also, so as he is carrying it out to my car, he mentions that he has 8 boxen folding too !!!! But apparently not for #33 --- so I hope everything he sold me works !




Monday night, all is folding well.

Yeah I have this small problem I like to call a wife. She wants the new house to be perfect so I have to wait for the carpet to go in. On the dust and heat side I am just putting down industrial stuff so I shouldn't have too much of a problem. (and I do still have 20 CPUs going strong just can't set up the new stuff yet)

 
I really don't think we need to get started on this contest. It would not be pretty. :eek:
