i installed my lapped ultima 90 heatsink tonight and the temps are great but i noticed i can easily twist the heatsink a lot even though its at its tightest, i cant even screw in the screw more or the motherboard is going to break. is this normal? i figured it is as the base is so small, and the lap job was good and both the heatsink and the processor are ultra smooth.

Fairly normal. One way to minimize this is to do the washer mod.

Simply stick a fairly large washer, around 35mm diameter and 2mm high, between the heatsink base and the bracket. If you don't have a washer, quality cardboard glued together then pressed until dry with a hole in the center will work.

yea i have the same thing on mine. Hasn't affected cooling. I idle at 20 celsius under speedfan, and 30 under core temp.

Same here, mine likes to wiggle around if you mess with it. Don't have a problem with temps or anything else, though.

Mine definitely has this "issue" although I don't worry about it. How often will I move my computer or whatever? Most likely never. Temps are good with this little gem though. I think I need to get a nice 92mm fan for it to see some lower temps. At 1.5v and 3.4GHz (testing overclocks right now) playing CoD4 and ETQW gives me about 47-50C temps. Overall, I'm happy with it.

Mine spins a bit as well but only if I apply a reasonable amount of force to it... i.e. it doesn't move around if I have to move my case, like going to LANs or to open it up to clear out dust.
