I have a AMD 6400+ in the machine
With a CORSAIR 520 W power supply, and a 8800gs video card.
I would like to put in a GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 896MB
The question is this Power supply OK, ? Does it have enough for the newer card ?

Yes it's ok.

I kind of agree, if you already own it, use it. Personally were it my choice I'd feel a bit more comfortable with one step up just to be more in the comfort zone of the PSU.

That, and I'm not a fan of modular PSUs, just another set of connectors in the path.;)

He's running a dual-core A64. He will be in the comfort zone of that PSU.

With that brand of psu you are perfectly okay. With a cheap psu with that wattage then you wouldn't be in my comfort zone but still probably okay.
