Is my rig underperforming?

I recently put a rig together

Asus Sabertooth 990FX r2.0
16 gigs ddr3 (I forget what mhz)
Nvidia GTX670 (Evga FTW edition)
and a AMD FX8350 at 4.33 ghz

I game, and generally I expected to always be at the 60fps mark, but I recently picked up a copy of far cry 3 and realized I don't hit above 40ish frames, let alone 60, I expected to run everything cranked and not so much as a stutter or a drop from 60 frames, were my expectations too unrealistic, or is something wrong? All drivers are up to date, bios is updated, and all clocks are stock. I do use PrecsionX and its FPS limiter, but that sits at a max of 80fps, so that shouldn't be doing anything and Vsync is turned off in Nvidia control panel as well as the game

Single 670 is definitely not enough to max out Far Cry 3 at 60Hz.

Try High settings, with HBAO, and MSAA off or 2x.

FPS is getting measured by Razer Gamebooster, nice to know that my expectations were just unrealistic, and there isn't anything wrong with my rig. As long as my game doesn't "Churn" (Visually lag awfully) I tend to run everything at max. Is there anything I should enable, or disable in Nvidia Control panel other than Vsync, that will improve things?

It's visually stunning, but other than that, is there really anything I should disable, or enable in Nvidia control panel to make things smooth? Or things I should just disable cause it's useless?
