Is it time for a full system upgrade?

Rig in sig.

I typically upgrade my rig with tax money, and it's that time of year again!

My question becomes with the rig in my sig and considering my equipment is still under warranty for at least another year:

1) With this year's upcoming games is it necessary to do a full system upgrade if I want a steady 60FPS?,

or,

2) Would I be better off investing in new GPU(s) [a 7970 or 2, or Kepler or 2 when it comes out?]
 
If I were you, I'd upgrade the GPU and call it a day. Save the rest of the cash and add it to next year's tax money for a big update.
 
1) Not really if your CPU is OC'd. If your CPU is OC'd to around 4Ghz or so, you should be set for another year.
2) New GPUs would be your best bet. Unfortunately Crossfire drivers for the HD 7xxx series are not that great right now. Another month and they should be better however.
