Need some help here - Is AMD.com still regularly restocking GPUs? On what days do they do that? I am looking to get 6800 or above but only interested in the reference models. I can install Discord again but which channel has that information?

Thursdays mornings 9am-12am is the ball park area of time each week
 
Yes, at 7 am ish every Thursday but you need lotto odds to win. I got in yesterday at the 1 min mark when everything was in stock but then got subjected to non stop captcha hell for 5 mins, even after adding to cart and going to order page. Ended up getting kicked out at the 5 min mark back to queue so yeah a very very bad process.
 
Okay thanks. So it is every Thursday morning then? I don't need to install Discord to be notified? What is that lottery system?

Chances that you get a queue position within 5 mins and then that it does not auto flag you as a bot and subject you to a million captchas.

How it works is a waiting room appears 15 minutes or so before cards go on sale. When the store opens a line order is randomly generated from all the people in the waiting room. If you are lucky you get a low wait time and can buy a card when it's your turn. If you are unlucky you get to wait in line until it closes.

It went pretty fast this week. They were all gone by 12-13 minutes. That said, normally when it's slow, they are getting hammered and it's because real people can't buy one.

Seems like I remember to check at 1030ish central time and it said sold out already.....so I do wonder the exact time it goes live? Has to be earlier than that lol

It was right before that, something like 10:05. I'm not joking about it not lasting very long. I passed on a 6900xt (maybe I should have gotten it, kinda kicking myself, lol, but not really) All I wanted was a 6800xt midnight black. I don't want to trade for one since warranties specifically say original purchaser. I don't know how flexible, or not flexible they are on that.

The red accent's do not match my pc at all.

Accent, shmaccent. If I can get the card I want at a decent price, I don't care if it's all covered in polka dots or pink and blue elephants. :ROFLMAO:

Are you in MST time zone? someone else said 9 am EST, so just trying to figure out what the exact time is. thx
 
US store's queue begins ~8:45 AM CST, store opens ~9:05 AM CST, all GPUs are sold out by ~9:15 AM CST.
Canadian store's queue begins the same time but GPUs don't get sold out as quickly.

I'm just going to say this, it doesn't have an exact time, just an expected time. They can and do fluctuate at times. I'm off on thursdays, it's how I know.
 
so if your estimated wait time in line is an hour, im out of luck correct?
 
Speaking of that. I was in the 60 seconds. I went to order the 6800xt, it kicks me out of the store.

By the time I'm back in the store. It's out of stock. FU

HOWEVER, this time instead of passing the 6900xt. I bought it. I can always use it to trade for what I want, or just use it.
 
Lol, I feel like I got in early but the wait time was still over an hour, then when the bar got to like 15% of the way in it said sold out. Daaaaang.

They sold out of the 6800/6800xt's within 5 minutes (maybe less, cause it was in my cart, went through pay and then at the very end, it kicked me out). After that you get the 6700xt & 6900xt's, which at actual reference prices are pretty good right now.

The wait time is generated when the meeting room closes, it's completely random and doesn't matter how early you entered the waiting room. That's why you need to have multiple tabs and browsers open, it increases your chances of winning the lottery and getting a low wait time.

Ohhhh I see! This is my first time trying for AMD in a while, that's totally backwards from the way it had been before. How strange...I guess it is one solution! :S

So be careful, you can get ip banned if you try to brute force. Use chrome with multiple profiles or something. I try to keep 8-10 total.
