two 290x's in cf use 640watts, correct!? I have a 1000watts psu. Is the remaining power enough to run a system like mine? (see in sig) thanks.
 
Looks fine to me. I'd doubt that your cpu, mobo, fans, drives, etc would use even 200W by themselves.

Incorrect. HardOCP's test system with an overclocked Core i7 3770K to 4.8Ghz with a single SSD and R9 290X crossfire used 747W under gaming load:

So yes you have enough power. Again, 747W for the ENTIRE system, not just the cards themselves.
 
Quality-wise, that should be a very well-made PSU - Antec still outsources the entire HCP line to Delta last i checked. So, that Platinum is really platinum - Delta style :D

Also, it has 40v on each of its main 12v rails backing up that 1kw output, so you're definitely good to go for meeting the 290 amp reqs. I woudn't even worry about the rest of your rig power-wise.
