I was using the EEEPC, but I grew tired of having to pull the laptop out in class (can you get anymore obvious you aren't paying attention if it isn't a class that needs a laptop) to check crap in class. My friend wants to buy it from me at an OK price, so I am looking to purchase something I can get some data when in WiFi range...

The flexibility of the iPod Touch has finally won me over and I want to purchase it. Before I purchase I want to own a case that is meant to fit it very tightly and have screen protection. Other than some very crappy looking solutions (in very limited choices), all of the cases I have found only support the first generation. Has anyone found a good/great case I can use on the Touch 2G?

Why do you want screen protection? Do you tend to carry diamonds in your pocket? Just get something silicone that covers the back.

I've never understood why people carry their smartphones in the same pocket as their keys or change... How much crap are you carrying in your pockets that you don't have a separate one available for it? :p Only time I ever put my phone on the same pocket as anything else is when I'm carrying a camera, and usually what I do then is I just hang my keychain off the side of my pocket to keep the keys from rattling around inside it w/the phone.

I also carry my electronics separate from my keys/change. I still like to have that protection just incase.

just get a skin from bestskinsever. They kick ass. Of course, they don't really protect anything from being dropped, but I never drop my phones/mp3 players. I have to laugh a little at people who buy the tiny mp3 players or phones, then put a ridiculously huge rubber case around them.

Your best options are either a full hard case (that comes with a screen protector) or something like bestskinever that is kind of like a condom for your ipod.

I don't use a case for mine, and the back is starting to show more scuffs. I try to be careful with it. The screen is tougher than you'd think at first.

I agree. I've had my iPod Touch for about a year now and I haven't ever had it in a case. The screen is flawless, but the back has some scuffs. The damn chrome nearly kept me from buying the Touch, but I got over it and upgraded from my old 8GB 2nd Gen Nano.
