Not sure if this is the right place for this, but the Apple Products forum didn't seem right. Anyway -- List your favorite iPhone games here. I'm looking for some new ones.

Nibiru -- If you've played oGame you'll immediately recognize this. Its exactly the same thing. Just a great iPhone interface. It was just released and is brand new, so the universe is a fresh start with very few players at the moment.

Reflexion -- An interesting and new approach to Block Breaker games -- you can create a paddle anywhere on the screen by swiping your finger. Pretty neat game, and challenging.

Sentinel and Sentinel 2 --- Tower defense games. Good towers, good upgrades, and nice graphics. Online score system for ranking. 4 levels, each with 4 difficulty levels and 2 modes of play (Set number of waves vs. unlimited waves).

geoDefense -- Another tower defense game, my favorite for the iPhone. Its a bit more puzzle based than your standard tower defense. I really enjoy this one and highly recommend it.

Star hogs -- Similiar to Worms, but you're in space. Fun, and has online play that works over Edge! 32 single player missions.

I bought Vending Machine Champ last night. It was $1.99, and it's from Adult Swim games. It's pretty entertaining, to say the least.

I also like WildWest pinball, TapDefense, iMafia, Lemonade Tycoon, and Line Rider

Space Invaders Infinity Gene

labyrinth

words with friends

geodefense

Let's Golf

TapDefense is cool, but did you install the latest upgrade? I did, and it made me delete the app immediately. The update notes say they added 2 new towers.

But I login to the game, and theres a main-menu option about the new towers. Theres two ways to get the new towers:

1) Download a $2-$3 game. Once you download the game, it unlocks ONE of the towers.
2) Go to some web-survey and fill it out with all kinds of personal information.

Needless to say, I went to leave a rather nasty 1 star review, and saw a ton of people had also left 1 star reviews complaining about the same thing. I check again today, and their review page is FLOODED with 5 star reviews and 1 line quips like "Great game" or "Awesome" or "Really fun". All the names of the people who left these reviews are random characters.

Shady shady shady.

omg...I hadn't started up TapDefense since before the latest update. Just checked and sure enough there's all that BS. Might be time to go back to Fieldrunners.

Anyways I have a ton of games. The normal stuff like Checkers, Chess, Solitaire, and Sudoku. I love the Scrabble and Monopoly games. Enigmo rocks. Flick Fishing and Topple are cool. Cro-Mag Rally is pretty fun.

My favorites though are Peggle, Wolfenstein 3D, iDracula, Myst, and Zenonia (a badass Zelda-like RPG).

I need to pick up Worms. Love the Worms games.

Tower Defense is one of my favorite genre's, especially on the iPhone. If you haven't checked it out, try geoDefense. Its a great one. As well as Sentinel and Sentinel 2.

geoDefense was hard...took me quite a while to finish (by iphone game standards at least). Zenonia is amazing and a crazy deal for the money. My two mainstays though are flight control and scrabble.

I find TapDefence extremely laggy and boring. Try Field runner. It's like tower defense but a lot better.

Wordwarp is my favorite game on the Ipod Touch/Iphone.

My 3 year old loves Rolando and Pocket God.

Here is a list of my favorite iPhone games:

Zombieville - Great side-scrolling shooter
Aurora Feint II: Tower Puzzles - Great puzzle game that really makes you think sometimes.
Star Defense - tower defense game with 3d graphics
Fieldrunners - my vote for best tower defense game
Blocked - great puzzle game to play when you need to kill a few mins.
Topple 2 - fun stacking game.

Only one iPhone game thats kept my interest longer than a few minutes-- Peggle. Must own.

I just bought Duke 3D this morning. Horrendous, entirely unusable controls unless you're willing to spend an extended length of time trying to learn a new control paradigm. Thanks, but no thanks.

How a company can fuck up a control scheme so badly when there are games out there that have pretty much already perfected it (id Software) is totally beyond me.

My favorite iPhone game right now: Ragdoll Blaster. Immensely fun and ridiculously cheap.

I like playing the old board games on the iPhone, like Trivial Pursuit, Yahtzee, etc.

I only have Peggle and Let's Golf. Got both on sale and they were well worth the purchase.

I just downloaded Duke 3D for my itouch and it isn't compatible (2nd gen only apparently). What the friggin hell? Sigh. Where in this game does it use a microphone?

Here is my list:

  • Scoops
  • PapiCatch
  • Rolando 2
  • Wurdle
  • Block Breaker Deluxe 2
  • Asphalt 4
  • Labyrinth
  • Rope'n'Fly
  • Peggle

the ones i play the most
peggle
crystal defenders (addicting addicting addicting developers)
lets golf
doom res
re4

I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one who updated my TowerDefense game only to delete it moments later once I realized the '2 new towers' had to be purchased separately.

My favorites (in no particular order) are as follows:
Lux Touch (similar to original board game Risk; I've heard nothing but bad reviews for Lux Deluxe, which has more maps, multiplayer, and other settings not available in the free, original Lux Touch)
UniWar
Pocket Tanks (free version)
Baseball Superstars 2009
Orions: Legend of Wizards (MtG type game)
Reign of Swords (turn based game)
Solebon Solitaire (excellent collection of solitaire card games)

Yea, I used to play Lux touch a LOT, and I considered getting the pay version.

Orions is also cool. Though I don't really like the 'campaign' mode. Somethings not right with that. The quick-game vs. mode is fun though.
